Advice for all permanent cosmetic procedures

  • Since delicate skin or sensitive areas may be swollen or red, it is advised not to make social plans for the same day.
  • Please wear your normal makeup to the salon on the day of the procedure.
  • Please inform your technician if you have taken aspirin, Ibuprofen or Coumadin within the two days leading up to procedure.
  • Do not discontinue any medication before consulting your doctor.
  • Do not drink alcohol the night before your treatment or drink any caffeinated drink before your treatment
  • A patch test will be performed unless waived upon request.

Eyebrow Procedures

  • Any waxing should be performed at least 48 hours before the procedure: Electrolysis no less than five days before the procedure.
  • Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the procedure.

Eyeliner procedures

  • Any eyelash tinting or eyelash perming should be carried out no sooner than 1 week before or two weeks after the procedure.
  • Do not wear contact lenses during or immediately following the procedure. Remember to bring your glasses. You may resume wearing your contact lenses as soon as your eyes feel comfortable. (This is normally 24 hours after the procedure).
  • You may have some swelling, as a safety precaution, we recommend that you have someone available to drive you home. Permanent cosmetic procedures can require multiple treatment sessions.
    Be prepared for the colour intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure. This will subside and become lighter as the tissue heals. This process can take up to ten days.

Do I need a Top up on my cosmetic tattoo and why?

How much is the top up for my cosmetic tattoo?
Your top up is normally £250 however when we are on special premotions or offers clients receive there top ups for £150.
Do i need a patch test ?
Yes every client requires a patch test before they have cosmetic makeup, your details will be taken and your patch test that will be sent in the post with instructions. Please remember to bring your patch test information with you.
Can i bring guests with me to?
We ask that you come un assisted in less you need assistance as the waiting room can get rather crowed and we try to keep the waiting room as tranquil as possible for our clients.
Can i cancel my appointment?
We have a 72hr strict cancellation policy as we are professional clinic and our practioners get very booked up at times there are waiting lists, so we would appreicate 72 hrs notice or we will charge for a non cancellation fee of 40% of the initail full price of the treatment booked. We require an email of cancellation.
Is there car parking?
Yes we offer road side pay by the metre parking or oppisite the Mandolay Hotel there is the GLive car park which is payable by the metre. We ask you please not to park in the private car park belonging to the Mandolay.
What is the difference between normal Micropigmentation (cosmetic tattoo) and Microblading Cosmetic Eyebrow Tattoo ?

Normal Cosmetic Tattoo's are done by a special cosmetic tattoo machine which contains a series of needles that pick up pigment and penatrate it into the Dermis Layer of the skin, This method requires a top up after 4-6 wks from initial treatment as this is performed in two stages.When having single stroke they may blur and fade into one the effect is 2D.

Microbladed Tattoo's are a 3D effect they are performed with a hand peice containing a Microblade containing a serious of small needles that penetrate the skin and hand push the pigment into the skin, this technique is more advanced, the results are very crisp, natural and defined this procedure is the most natural look of hair strokes, a top up is crucial around 4wks after as this is done in 2 treatments.

Can i pick or scratch and itch the area of my cosmetic tattoo?
The answer is no if any of the scab is pulled of this will result in the loss of pigment.
Can i get the cosmetic tatoo wet?
You must avoid getting the treatment area wet for at-least 4 days as this will dilute your tattoo.
Can i take a head Nurofen or a paracetamol ?
No as this will thin your blood please refrain from taking atleast 72hrs before.
Medication
If you are on any medication please check with the clinic if you can have the treatment or if you need permission from your doctor.

Advice for Micro blading procedures

    Microblading (or eyebrow embroidery or soft tap) is a rather new method of semi permanent makeup were used is a manual tool.Microblading is becoming an incredibly popular treatment as many who have seen the results and have noticeable advanced natural 3d effects that it can offer. When performing Microblading pigment is implanted in the basal membrane which divides the epidermis from the Dermis layer of the skin. This technique is therefore more superficial than tattooing.This amazing Eye Brow treatment suits people who ideally have loss of hair or the wrong Brow shape, over plucked, patchy areas and won’t grow back or through medical reasons such as Alopecia or chemotherapy.
    Micro-blading gently enhances clients’ natural features, giving them more confidence in their overall appearance.However, it doesn’t suit certain skin types:
    Excessive Sebum, Oily Skin
    Problem skin broken Capillaries
    Acne
    Moles
    Keratosis
    Seborrhoea Dermatitis
    Very dry or peeling skin.
    Problem skin.
    Please avoid treatment if you are suffering and contagious infections such as conjunctivitis and other infections as you will be denied treatment.Before your treatmentIf you require a consultation prior to this treatment an initial consultation free of £45 is charged .
    We require a patch test to preformed at home which we post out then a Consent form will be completed on the day of your treatment.
    Patch Test must applied 24 hrs before your treatment.
    I can post this out to you if you wish, or you can waiver this on the day of your treatment but you must confirm your waiver by ticking the relevant section of the consentOn the Consultation Day:
    Please arrive least 10 minutes before your treatment time. Late arrival can lead to your treatment being postponed to another day and is chargeable £35.00 to avoid upsetting other clients who may be waiting for their appointments after yours.

    How long does it last?
    Depending on how well you look after your new Microbladed Eyebrows, they will last for between 1 and 2 Years.
    Please note this we only guarantee our work if a top up has been preformed 4wks after the initial treatment.

    Does it Hurt?
    No, not really. On a scale of 1-10, most clients report a discomfort of about a 3.

    At the start of your treatment you will feel a scratch like feeling.

    Whilst you are waiting in the waiting room a member of staff will apply numbing cream to your treatment area this takes around 10-20 minutes to absorb into the skin. Once the cream is absorbed very little feeling remains.

    Aftercare: Touch Ups
    You will need to return for your touch up treatment no later than 4 weeks after treatment. To avoid additional charges please give a minimum of 74 hours for any cancelled appointments.

    Everyone’s skin heals differently and most clients develop patchy areas or the appearance of fading after the first treatment. It is important to understand that this is a two part process and the second, Touch Up Treatment will complete the procedure and, after healing, you will see the finished result. PLEASE BE PATIENT AND DON’T PANIC AND STAY CALM!

    AfterCare: Important Info

    You can use cool water with a damp cotton pad to prevent drying out and scabs forming. Don’t panic if dry patches or scabs appear as this can be taken care of in the second ‘Touch Up; appointment.

    Apply Glamore Aesthetics Ltd MB this oil has been developed especially for this treatment which is purchasable for £14.99 on the day of your treatment we ask you oil over your brow area 3-4 times a day for the first few days to avoid scabbing.

    Important Note:Please note we are now asking our clients to Avoid Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline during your healing period as research has shown anything with a Petroleum or Vaseline base can cause a reaction and can cause crusting and scabbing. We expect to see a little flaking but not scabbing. Vaseline/Petroleum can also cause sweating as the skin is not able to breathe.
    AfterCare during the 10 Day healing period:
    You will be given a book with guidance on how to care for your brows during the initial healing period, this includes:

    No Sun Beds
    No Sweating in the gym
    No Makeup on the brow area
    No Anti Ageing creams on the brow area..
    Do not pick scabs if any appear.
    Do not itch the brow area or pull the scabs away.
    Leave your Brow area alone and let them heal totally for at least 10 days.
    Please note it is completely normal for loss of pigment as this procedure requires a top up
